Govt school principal post suicide pics on FB while hanging self from ceiling

  Udaipur :  A 55-year old man hanged himself from the ceiling of his home in HarshNagar on Sisarma road in Udaipur city and posted pictures on his Facebook page just before committing suicide. Manohar Singh Rajput ,the deceased was principal of a government school and was posted at Dhar senior secondary school. Ambamata police has registered a case and investigation is underway, police said.

 Udaipur  SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi said Manohar Singh left a suicide note alleging a Kota woman for the reason behind him taking the extreme step before ending his life. The woman had taken a large amount of money from him reportedly. ” We will investigate in depth about the relationship between the deceased and the woman and find if she had abetted him for suicide” the officer said. The principal had also posted the picture and contact details of the woman on his facebook wall. He live-streamed the suicide on his Facebook page. Police sources said that his wife had died three years ago due to some illness and his daughter was married. The man was tired of living a lonely life and had advertised inviting matrimonial alliances for self.  Neha Sharma,  a resident of Santosh Nagar in Kota responded to the advertisement and both had met.

The woman reportedly came to Udaipur to meet Manohar and even lived with him for some days. Sources said she was in need of money and Manohar borrowed a large amount from his colleagues and gave it to the woman. According to sources, Manohar had taken 40 lakh rupees from different people and when they pressurised him to return their amount, the principal asked the woman to repay.  She gave him a cheque which got dishonoured and this caused him much stress. He had shared his grief with his close friends and before committing suicide he posted pics on social media as well as on his friends mobile. Manohar’s death came as a shock for the teaching community as he was quite an active person and also an office bearer of teachers association RESLA ( Rajasthan Education Service Lecturers Association).
