Govt heading towards making of a ‘New Rajasthan’, says Raje

‘Remained non-discriminatory & fair to all’

Udaipur : Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said Rajasthan has emerged as a forerunner in various fields including solar power, skill development and cashless transactions.  “ I take pride to announce that we have completed 73% of the tasks we had undertaken as a mission when we started off three years ago.  From laying new roads to connect villages to setting up senior secondary level schools at each gram panchayat, facilitating cashless transactions in hospitals upto 3 lakh rupees, free medicines, establishing rural malls, transforming ration shops to Annapurna Bhandars, updation of crop loss assessment to  benefit farmers, Shramik cards to labourers, extending 50 thousand rupees to families on birth of every girl child; the state government have been impartial, non discriminatory and fair with all classes and sections of society. The more the poor, larger had been the help given” Raje said while addressing a mass gathering at the Gandhi ground here on Wednesday.

The event was organized to mark ‘Suraj’- the completion of 3 years of the state government. “ We have overcome all the difficulties and challenges that stood before us in 2013. We were handed over an empty treasury, overburdened with a massive debt of 2 lakh crore. But people had voted us to power and we had to keep our promise to provide them a good standard of living and leading the state to the path of progress. Rajasthan has undergone a transformation to a great extent in past 3 years that the neighboring Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh have seen in 15 years” Raje claimed. Listing the budget spent on various welfare and development schemes in past 3 years, Raje said the transformation is evident and being acclaimed both at national and international levels. “ Rajasthan models be it Bamashah Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jal Swawlamban Abhiyaan (MJSA)or E-auction of minerals are being largely applauded by the center and other states” the chief minister said. Raje said the government would continue with the old tasks along with embarking on new initiatives on increasing the road network.

On the occasion she announced an addition of 500 blue line buses to the fleet of state transport corporation. She also said of the 295 water scarce black zones, 50 blocks have been replenished due to works done under MJSA. Efforts will be made to bring 200 blocks out of the dark zones. On the occasion Raje also launched various new development works in Udaipur and surrounding areas. Minister of Rajasthan Urban Development, Housing and Local Self Government, Shrichand Kriplani; Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, Minister of Technical and Higher Education Kiran Maheshwari and many others were present during the program.
