Govt doctors stage black ribbon protest over patient’s relatives misconduct in Chittorgarh

Udaipur : Doctors at Shri Sanvaliyaji govt general hospital in Chittorgarh headquarters, staged protest and wore black ribbons to show their outrage against the misconduct by relatives of one of a patient who had died during treatment here recently. A pregnant woman Rashida wife of Rais Khan who was admitted here at the zanana wing died of critical illness on May 15. Her family members and relatives created a huge scene, damaged the hospital property and even misbehaved with doctors and nursing staff.

Doctors had boycotted work for two hours the same day and demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants however even after two days no one has been held. In protest of the incident and to urge the police for a prompt action, doctors staged protest and worked with black bands. President of the Working Doctors Association Dr. Dinesh Vaishnav said that they would continue to work under protest for some time but if police do not arrest the accused soon,  they will go on a strike.
