Fresh Dengue cases Decline in Bangladesh

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Bangladesh 1460 new dengue patients were admitted between Friday and Saturday morning while 1721 new cases were admitted to the hospitals in the previous 24 hours.

The total number of dengue patients admitted to hospitals this year has crossed 51,000 till Saturday. Out of these about 7900 patients are still admitted to hospitals while others have been relieved after treatment.

The official death toll due to Dengue is 40, though reports from various parts of the country suggest a much larger number.

Dengue has swept through Bangladesh this year breaking all previous records.
