Udaipur : Police has arrested four men who had decamped with cash and ornaments, assaulted more than a dozen people a week ago in Morna village of Rajsamand district. The goons gang raped a woman before escaping with the loot money. The gang had targeted a farm house and another neighbouring house and escaped with cash worth 2 lakhs, gold silver ornaments, LED television and some farm equipments.
Additional SP Rajesh Bharadwaj said ” We have arrested four men who looted two houses in a secluded area under Charbhuja police station limit last Wednesday. The men belong to Vagariya caste and are relatives who have committed similar crimes in Mavli of Udaipur and Rashmi in Chittorgarh district”. The gang members roamed around in search of prey in the day time and targeted homes located in secluded areas. After gathering enough information about people living there and the valuables, the men would use vehicles which they had stolen from different areas to reach the place.
The accused have been identified as Ganesh and Madanlal both sons of Rama Vagariya, Ganesh so Chhagan and Logar Vagariya. Police said the gang has confessed to have committed a murder and seven similar loot in different areas in the state while they could have committed many more such incidents in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
