BJP leader Michael Lobo, who had resigned as Deputy Speaker earlier, is the only BJP MLA who was sworn-in as minister.
Earlier in the day, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant dropped four alliance Ministers from his cabinet, hours before the swearing-in of four new Ministers at the Raj Bhavan.
State Secretariat said that the four Ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai, Vinod Palienkar, Jayesh Salgaocar (Goa Forward Party MLAs) and Rohan Khaunte (Independent MLA) were dropped from the Cabinet. This was the second cabinet reshuffle by Sawant since he took over as the Chief Minister three months ago.
On Wednesday, ten Congress MLAs had joined the BJP, increasing the strength of the party to 27 on the floor of the House.
