Surat (Gujarat), May 24 (Udaipur Kiran): At least 15 people were feared killed and several others injured as a deadly fire has broken out at a commercial building in Sarthana area of Surat in Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep anguish over the incident and directed authorities to provide all possible help.
In his Tweet message, Modi said, “Extremely anguished by the fire tragedy in Surat. My thoughts are with bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly. Have asked the Gujarat Government and local authorities to provide all possible assistance to those affected.”
Fire engulfed the third and fourth floor of Takshila Centre in Surat, Gujarat. Several students are believed to be trapped in the burning building.
