‘Deepotsav’ lights up Ayodhya; South Korean First Lady witness the occasion

What made Ayodhya’s diwali special was the setting of a new world record by lighting up of over 3 lakh lamps by the banks of the Saryu river.



When the diyas were lit up it left all onlookers enchanted.Special display of colourful lights added another dimension to the vista.

The LED lighting extending from the river bank to the Ram Paedi including the main road and the entrance gate looked festively inviting.

The main stream of Ram Paedi flaunted a water show and the lighting on the temples also caught the eye.

Witnessing the historic deepotsava with its enthralling lamps and lights was South Korean first lady Kim Jung-Sook.


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the South Korean first lady with a rose.

The two leaders then jointly presided over the ground breaking ceremony of Korean Queen Huh memorial park.

The event also saw the UP CM worshipping Lord Ram, Lakshman and Sita when they reached the venue.Amidst cultural depictions and displays.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects worth 176 crore rupees unveiling several diwali gifts for Ayodhya residents.

The Uttar Pradesh CM also spoke about the developmental work done by the Modi government at the Centre during the last nearly 4.5 years saying its fulfilling the Ram rajya dream.



Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik remarked on the occasion that events such as the one organised on the banks of the Saryu will also boost Ayodhya’s standing in the world.

The South Korean first lady in her address  said that both South Korea and India can light the lamps of peace in the world dispelling darkness.

The Uttar Pradesh government has initiated several projects to boost Ayodhya’s infrastructure.

At the same time, the Central govt has also ramped up its efforts to upgrade the Ramayana circuit which includes places associated with Lord Ram such as Ayodhya to connect and facilitate devotees.
