Out of results declared so far, BJP has won 30 seats and leading at around 71 seats and Shiv Sena bagged 20 seats while leading on 38 seats.
The Congress has bagged 20 seats while leading on around 31 seats. Nationalist Congress Party got 16 seats while leading over 37 seats.
In 2014, the BJP had won 122 seats in the western state, the Sena 63, the Congress 42 and the NCP 41. The polling held on Monday saw a voter turnout of 61.13 per cent, a dip from the 63.20 per cent recorded in 2014.
BJP Leader, Saroj Pandey said that BJP will get the majority in state.
While, NCP leader Sharad Pawar thanked the people of Mahatrshtra for their support to party.
NO PARTY GETS CLEAR MAJORITY IN HARYANA
In Haryana, no party is getting a clear majority. Counting is underway. BJP has won 15 seats while leading on 23 seats.
Congress bagged 12 and leading on over 21 seats, JJP bagged 7 seats and leading on 3 seats and INLD leading on 1 seat…while others leading on 7 seats.
Polling was held on Monday which recorded a voter turnout of over 68 per cent, a sharp decline from 76.54 in the 2014 assembly polls.
BJP leader in Haryana expressed hope for a clear victory of BJP in Haryana.
Former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda who reached Delhi to discussion formation of govt with the party leaders gave a call to form govt with JJP.
In Haryana, the battle is also crucial for regional parties including Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). Party leader Dushyant Chautala expressed happiness over relatively good showing by his party.
BJP leader Arun Singh said that BJP will win with full majority in both the states.
