CLAT Notification 2020: How to fill CLAT Application form 2020

CLAT is the ‘Common Law Admission Test’. A total of 19 Law Universities participate to direct this exam to offer them admissions into the Undergraduate and PostGraduate Law Programs. Through this paper, the students can get admissions in different universities across India. CLAT Notification 2020 will be out soon and will include all the information related to the test.

  • Candidates who have cleared 12th can appear for the UG Program. For PG, candidates must have secured 45% in UG to apply for CLAT
  • The CLAT Syllabus, overall, includes the subjects Reasoning, English, Legal Aptitude, Maths & GK
  • Solving previous year question papers can help candidates to crack the exam
  • The exam takes place in offline mode (pen-paper mode) from 2019 onwards. The exam is for 2 hours
  • Students who have a keen interest in Law is one of the high requirement if they want to crack it
  • Those who do not fulfill the eligibility conditions set by the officials cannot apply. Even if they fill the application form, the authorities will reject it anyway

How to Fill CLAT Application Form 2020?

Follow the steps below to know how to fill the CLAT Application Form 2020. The form filling stages are also provided:

Step 1: Basic information

  • Visit the official website
  • Look for the link and click on ‘Apply Online’
  • A new page will be displayed on the screen
  • Look for the button as ‘New Registration’ on the top right
  • Click on it
  • Fill the requirements for Name, Phone Number, E-mail ID, captcha code
  • As these details are submitted, one will receive a new registration number and password on their provided phone number and e-mail id

●      Kindly fill your and your parents’ names as they are mentioned in your mark sheets and identity proof documents

●      Anything dissimilar found in the form can cause form-cancellation, right away

●      Kindly submit only one application form. If the officials observed more than 1 application form with similar phone number and e-mail, the form which is filled later will be considered

Step 2: Login

  • Login using the registration number and password sent to your contact details
  • Now, upload the photo and signature in the required format (given below)

Guidelines for Photo & Signature

The instructions to upload the photo and signature are given below:

  • The background of photo and signature must be white/light-colored
  • Individual’s face must be clear and visible in the photograph
  • The photo must be recent
  • The image should be professional-looking
  • The candidate’s signature should not in different designs or styles. If the signature is not in a similar pattern on all the official papers, then the officials will cancel the application form on the spot
  • The individual’s sign must be in a flow (running hand). It should not be in block letters
  • Moreover, the candidates should ensure that their scanned images are in JPEG Format

The format of the candidate’s photo and signature is mentioned below:

Step 3: CLAT Application Form Filling 2020

  • After one has uploaded the photo and signature, proceed to fill other information which is required
  • You can fill the further form in any order on the page displayed on the screen

Step 4: CLAT Application Form Payment 2020

You can pay your application fee through online or offline mode. Through online mode, you can use Credit/Debit/Net Banking. For offline mode, there is an e-challan mode. The Application fee differs from one category to another.

Online-Mode Payment Details

You can pay the fee with Debit/ Credit Card/Net Banking. Bank Transaction charges can vary depending on what payment option you choose

  • Card mode: Enter card details (card type, card number, expiry date, and CVV number)
  • Net Banking Mode: Choose the preferred bank, enter user ID & Password and make the transaction within seconds

Details of Offline Payment Mode (E-Challan)

  • You can make the offline mode payments after generating the online challans
  • One has to take the print out of the generated e-challans to the bank which is concerned for payment over the counter
  • The Cheques, DDs or other instruments/modes of payment must not be practiced
  • E-challan must only be generated in the format of PDF format
  • Offline payments must be made only in cash
