Chana futures trade higher on rising spot demand

Chana futures traded higher on NCDEX, as the speculators enlarged their bets tracking rising demand from domestic physical markets. However, increased stock positions in warehouses and ample supplies from growing regions capped the upside momentum.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 4458.00, up by 0.32% or Rs 14.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4444.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 30250 lots.

The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 4480.00, up by 0.47% or Rs 21.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4459.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 32540 lots on NCDEX.
