Campaigning for Assembly Election intensifies in Jharkhand 

In Jharkhand, campaigning is gaining momentum in the constituencies where the first phase of elections will be held on 30th of this month.

During this phase, polling will be held in 13 constituencies spread over six districts of Chatra, Gumla, Lohardaga, Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa. 189 candidates are in the fray in this phase.

Leaders of various political parties including BJP, Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha are likely to address election rallies and roadshows.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally in Daltonganj in Palamu where he asserted that BJP govt in last five years has taken several steps for the development of Jharkhand.

Addressing another rally in Gumla, Prime Minister said that the moto of BJP government is ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ where there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or religion and efforts are being made to benefit the poor,” 

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Hemant Soren on Monday held a rally and appealed to the people to vote to JMM for development of Jharkhand.
