In the national capital, MoS home Nityanand Rai attended the BSF raising day parade. He also inspected the raising day parade and took the salute of the marching contingents.
Border Security Force was raised on 1 December 1965. It is a paramilitary force charged with guarding India’s land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.
Speaking on the occasion, the MoS Home said that the govt is committed to provide modern technology for the security of the jawans.
He also said that Govt has increased the retirement age of jawans to 60 years. He further said that Jawans posted in Kashmir will be provided free of cost air travel from Jammu to Delhi.
