BJP President Amit Shah has given a boost to the BJP campaign by holding massive rallies. On Wednesday, he addressed two rallies in Kasganj and Firozabad where he hit out at the opposition.
Amit Shah said until now Maywati and Akhilesh would not see eye to eye but now have come together to defeat the BJP. He claimed after the elections their alliance will break. Amit Shah also took a jibe at the Congress on the issue of national security.
Late in the evening, Amit Shah reached Bengaluru and held a road show which was attended by people in large numbers. Union Minister Smriti Irani is in Amethi where she held a series of rallies taking on Rahul Gandhi.
Smriti Irani will file her nomination from Amethi on Thursday. Meanwhile, Union Minister Arun Jaitley lashed out at the opposition for crying vendetta politics in a blog. Jaitley said,
“It has become a routine practice to call any action against corruption as political vendetta. Those who commit such large acts of corruption have to be judged on the merits of the action itself. In the public space evidence has come in relation to Karnataka where allocations made for public welfare to the Public Works Departments were being round-tripped by engineers for a political purpose. In Madhya Pradesh, an institutional mechanism has been created where money that is meant for development and social welfare of the weaker sections are now being channelled into politics”
Meanwhile, leaders are continuing to join the BJP. The Gujjar leader from Rajasthan Kirori Singh Bainsla and his son Vijay Bainsla joined the BJP on Wednesday..in the BJP in the presence of Union minister Prakash Javadekar, and MP Anil Baluni at the BJP HQs.
