He warned that if necessary, an integrity drive would be conducted inside the Awami League also to prevent corruption and wrongdoings.
Quader said that the government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption and no one will be spared.
Referring to the recent removal of the President and General Secretary of Chhatra League, which is the student wing of the Awami League, he said action was taken against them for their alleged misconduct. He said that it was an unprecedented incident and the punitive action against them was the first such action in history of Bangladesh.
Earlier, on Saturday the President of Chhatra League Rejwanul Haque Choudhury Shovon and General Secretary Golam Rabbani were removed from their posts following allegations of demanding bribe from the VC of Jahangirnagar university in a development project.
