Bajaj Auto deeps on reporting 20% fall in September sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2930.00, down by 11.90 points or 0.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 2941.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2911.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2976.05 and Rs. 2907.45 respectively. So far 11888 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3145.55 on 17-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2400.00 on 29-Jul-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2990.80 and Rs. 2903.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 84380.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.18% and 23.30% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has registered a fall of 20% in total sales to 402,035 units in September 2019 against 502,009 units in September 2018. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 22% and stood at 336,730 units in September 2019 under review against 430,939 units in September 2018. The company has reported 8% fall in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 65,305 units as compared to 71,070 units in month of September 2018.

However, the company’s total exports stood at 186,534 units, registering a fall of 2% as compared to 190,506 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
