Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan on Monday apologised before Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for his “sexist” remarks against BJP member Rama Devi during the session of the House on July 25.
Rama Devi however did not accept his apology. She said that Azam Khan’s remark has hurt both women and men in India. She added that such comments are uncalled for.
Reacting on members’ replies, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the house belongs to all and it runs on support from everyone. He added that members must refrain from using language that affects the dignity of the House.
