As per the order made by Jorhat district administration, tea gardens shall operate with maximum 50% work force on roster basis. Movement of tea workers is restricted within the tea garden.
Speaking to DD news, Manager of Green View Tea Estate Dhrubajyoti Borthakur said the garden is completely following the COVID 19 protocol and proper care has been taken to the workers
A great sigh of relief to the tea workers as they are back to work again after many days. These workers are maintaining hygiene and social distance while plucking leaves or working in the factories.
The opening of tea gardens in Assam will be seen as an important step to slowly revive the economy at a time where there are serious challenges in the economic scale where health concerns and livelihood in the state.
