Doctors and medical staff of the facility congratulated the 30 persons who had recovered from the disease and gave them a warm sendoff.
Dr Narayana Babu, chief of the hospital, told them to stay in home quarantine for two weeks and advised them to eat nutritious food to maintain their immunity levels.
Speaking to reporters later, Dr. Babu said the hospital had 95 people suffering from the disease, of whom 30 had now fully recovered and returned home. Some of them were given the experimental plasma treatment approved by the ICMR.
Over 180 persons have recovered from the corona outbreak in the state.
The number of cases in Tamil Nadu after steadily rising for over a fortnight has begun to show a declining trend over the past three days.
