2nd group of 20 Nepali farmers & agriculture experts undergo training at NCOF Ghaziabad

The main objective of training is to promote certified organic farming for improvement of soil health, share impact of organic farming, ensure supply of organic input through establishment of Bio-fertilizer & Bio-Pesticides Production Unit, capacity building in soil testing and organic certification through Human Resource Development of Nepali experts and farmers.

Prime Ministers of India and Nepal had launched New Partnership in Agriculture during Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's visit to India in April last year.

Later in June 2018, Nepal's Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Chakrapani Khanal had visited Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, in New Delhi and National Centre of Organic Farming, Ghaziabad.

He had also held delegation level talks with India's Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of Radha Mohan Singh.
