Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the Foundation Stone for the Janganana Bhawan in New Delhi. The work on ‘Janganana Bhawan’ will be completed by 2021.
Speaking on the occasion, Amit Shah emphasised on need for people’s participation in census in the country.
The Home Minister said that this time the government is going to spend around 12, 000 crores on National Population Register and census, which is the highest among all the census conducted so far. He also said that National Population Register (NPR) will help government solve many issues in the country.
The Home Minister also said that Mobile App will be used to collect data for 2021 Census. He added that it will be a transformation from paper census to digital census.
