
Kyiv, April 22 ( /Xinhua) A Ukrainian An-26 military transport plane crashed in Ukraine’s southern Zaporizhzhya region on Friday, killing at least one person and injuring two others, the regional administration said in a statement on Facebook. The aircraft, which was on a technical flight, went down at about 9 a.m. local time (0600 GMT) near the urban-type settlement of Mykhailivka, the statement said. According to the preliminary data, the plane belonged to Ukraine, it said. An unconfirmed report suggested that the plane struck a power line pole and its engine caught fire, it added. The State Service for Emergencies and other Ukrainian agencies are working at the crash site. /XINHUA PRT
