Udaipur : In a broad day light murder, a 32-year-old man was stabbed by a distant relative owing to a long standing property dispute between them. Ahmed, resident of Barkat colony at Savina under Goverdhan Vilas police station area, had been at his home on Tuesday afternoon when around 12.30 pm, Amaan, a distant relative came to his home. Both had a verbal spat over a plot that Ahmed had purchased from Amaan some time back. Ahmed had made partial payment for the said plot since the land usage conversion was pending with the UIT.
“ Amaan had been demanding the balance amount for quite some time but Ahmed was stern on paying the amount once the conversion was done, this reportedly was the reason for the dispute between the duo” said Ranu Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Girwa. On Tuesdaywhen Ahmed refused to pay the dues, Amaan was annoyed and attacked Ahmed with a knife. He stabbed him several times on his chest and stomach. The body was shifted to the hospital later on by the police. The autopsy report stated excessive bleeding as the reason for death. “ The deceased had a criminal record at the Goverdhan Vilas police station, he had been caught with weapons. The accused is absconding. We have registered murder case and are looking out for him” Ranu said. Meanwhile rumors were round that Amaan surrendered himself at the police station after the incident, though the officers refuted the claim.
