Union Ministries enlist their achievements in the last 4 years of NDA govt

Science and Technology Minister Harshvardan and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri addressed the media on the progress made by their Ministries. Here’s a report card of their ministries as presented by them.

Union Ministers of the NDA govt at the centre have been traversing the country to take the achievements of 4 years in office to the people. In this regard, Union Minister for Science & Technology, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, India’s progress in the field of science and technology is exponential and major strides towards a leadership position have been made in the last four years.

SCHEMES AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

The budget allocation to Department of Science & Technology was Rs. 19,764 crores, which is a whopping 90% increase. Similarly, there was an increase of 65% for the Department of Biotechnology; almost 43% increase for CSIR and 26% increase for Ministry of Earth Sciences. The notable achievements during the last four years have been development of new technologies and transfer of over 800 technologies to the industry. There has been an enhancement of Doppler Weather Radar network from 16 in 2014 to 24 in 2018 and it will be incresed to 55 by next year.

In another press conference, Minister of State with Independent Charge in the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, Hardeep Singh Puri addressed the media in New Delhi. The minister said that the physical manifestation of smart cities will come to the fore between June and December.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also addressed a press conference where he spoke of the government’s achievements over the past four years.
