Two burnt alive in Chittorgarh after truck catches fire

Udaipur : A driver and his assistant were burnt alive when their truck caught fire after touching a 11KW electricity line at Surpur village under Kapasan police station in Chittorgarh district on Thursday noon. The men belonged to Tonk district and transported grains and fodder, police said.

The incident took place when the two men were crossing the Surpur village. The truck caught flames due to sparking from the heavy power line and the fire spread rapidly through the dry grass. According to the eyewitnesses the two men didn’t find time enough to escape. The autopsies were conducted in the evening after their family members arrived, DP Dadheech, SHO Kapasan police station said.
