Udaipur : Taking the fast track, Udaipur police has filed the chargesheet within 20 hours of the lodging of the complaint in Austrian tourist molestation case. The 31-year old foreigner was reportedly molested by the manager of a massage center in the Chandpole area of the city on Saturday, however, she filed the plaint on Monday at the Ambamata police station. The statement of the victim was recorded before a magistrate on Tuesday.
The accused Rajendra Kumar Sharma was produced before a local court here which sent him to judicial custody. “ This is the first case where the chargesheet has been filed within a record time. The accused had been earlier charged for a similar molestation case by a New Zealand tourist, however, he went scot free because the women didn’t come back for the trial proceedings” ChandraPurohit, SHO Ambamata police station told Udaipur Kiran.
The Austrian tourist would be leaving Udaipur by the weekend. Taking a lesson from the past, the police has requested the court to commence the hearing within next 3 days so that the complainant need not to come back to India for personal appearance. The foreigner who is a renowned artist in her written statement before the magistrate held that she had went to the parlor on March 25 and wanted to know the price for a deep tissue massage as she suffered from backache. The accused took her inside where he pressed her hands corresponding to various pressure points of the body and later grabbed her back. The women was shocked by the sudden act and she ran out of the place.
