Udaipur : The office of the 54th Dai Al-Mutlaq Syedna Taher Fakhruddin is taking up social welfare programs including scholarships for higher education, medical care and business advisory for the upliftment of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Udaipur. Announcing the details, director of the programs Dr Abdeali Syedna Qutubuddin said the aim of the initiative is to bridge the rift between the two factions of the community and to help their people lead a good life.
Abdeali held a majlis & met community people on the occasion of Imam Hussain Chelum on Sunday. He told TOI that their Fatemi Dawat administration have been holding talks with various universities and educational institutions across the nation to help Bohra students get access to higher education.
Under the Qutubuddin Jubilee Scholarship Program (QJSP) scholarships will be awarded to deserving pupils to help them take up studies at college levels both at national and international levels so that the meritorious students are not deprived of the opportunities they deserve. Under the financial advisory service specially for entrepreneurs and youth, link ups would be facilitated so that they find a solution to their business related issues. Help would also be extended for startups, Abdeali said.
