Udaipur : In order to benefit thousands of passengers and decongest the traffic burden at the Udiapole road leading to city railway station, a second gate would be made operational within two months. Home minister Gulabchand Kataria, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and officials of the railway department on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the second entry gate at the Tekri road. The second entry gate would house a complex with green patch development area and better passengers amenities like parking, waiting room, booking hall, reservation counters etc.
The second entry from station is an additional facilities for passengers which will help in decongesting the area, said Naresh Salecha Divisional Railway Manager, Ajmer Division. The construction work is estimated around 1.60 crore rupees which has been gathered by public fund. Udaipur municipal corporation has given one crore rupees while 20 lakh rupees each have been released by Kataria and Phool Singh Meena’s legislator funds and 20 lakhs given by parliamentarian Arjunlal Meena. The second entry to the station would ease the traffic load from the main area as people living in sector 11,14, Savina, Hiranmagri would have easy approach to the station through the new route.
