The sale of Samsung’s latest Galaxy flagship smartphones has reportedly crossed 5 million. According to a report in theinvestor.co.kr, quoting a company official, the global sales of the Galaxy S8 smartphones have crossed 5 million units.
“Although we cannot provide detailed figures, the sales are going smoothly around the globe. The combined sales already are beyond 5 million units,” a Samsung official told the publication.
The South Korean smartphone giant unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones at an event in New York on March 29. Both the smartphones launched in India on April 19 at Rs 57,900 (MOP) and Rs 64,900 (MOP) respectively.
The highlight of the two smartphones is the company’s very own digital assistant — Bixby. Samsung claims that the assistant can do much more than its rivals, including being able to handle any smartphone-related task that can be managed by touch. One of Bixby’s features — Bixby Voice — is yet to roll out to all users.
