Power Grid plans capital expenditure of Rs 25,000 crore for FY18

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has planned a capital expenditure of Rs 25,000 crore for the current fiscal and will raise nearly Rs 17,500 crore through debt. The company already has Rs 1.30 trillion worth of projects on hand which it will have to execute over the next 3-4 years. The company will raise funds through issue of bonds both domestic and international and also through bilateral and multilateral funding sources and forex borrowings.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
