NEET 2017 Expected paper Analysis

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test paper will be held on 7th May 2017 across various NEET exam centers all over India. This year, as many as 7,42,391 applicants are expected to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017. Unlike the previous year, NEET 2017 is to be held in only one phase covering all the subjects Physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany. Each subject will have 45 questions and each question will carry 4 marks with a penalty of 1 mark for every wrong answer. Out of the qualified candidates, only top 15 percent will be further qualified for the NEET counseling process.

NEET 2017 will provide medical aspirants a better chance to get admissions into medical colleges. Since the introduction of NEET, there is an increase of the total number of seats with the inclusion of 100 per cent seats from the government as well as private institutions. The only downside might be that making NEET as the only gateway to medical colleges increases the difficulty and competition level of the examination. NEET 2017 Paper Analysis

Here is the expected Paper Analysis for NEET 2017 exam, covered subject wise. Starting with Physics.

Physics:  Physics section will have a total of 45 questions. The section is expected to be lengthy, requiring long calculations. Most questions are expected from out of the NCERT Textbook Scope, probably from the private publications like HC Verma. NEET 2017 physics section is expected to be pretty balanced as per the syllabus and the important topics of each concern. The difficulty level would be moderate to difficult as most of the concepts are not that hard to solve but then again, they might eat up your time as they include extensive calculations.

NEET chemistry section will have 45 questions which will be well balanced between organic and inorganic chemistry. Chemistry section will be comparatively easier to solve. Just like Physics even chemistry section is expected to have some questions beyond the NCERT textbook. Nothing to worry though as these questions are pretty straight forward and not hard or time-consuming. If one knows the formula well then chemistry section will be a no brainer. If one was to prepare for chemistry, keep in mind to thouroughly do the important topics. The low weightage chapters are generally do not show up in the chemistry section usually.

The biology section will be divided into two sections namely botany and zoology with a total of 90 questions, 45 each for both. The biology section will be of easy to moderate difficulty. The question paper gave equal weightage to Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. In biology, the whole syllabus is important as it very evenly distributed in term of important topics. NEET biology will be a well-balanced paper covering concepts and questions from 11th & 12th class textbooks equally. Genetics and biotechnology are the topics that the candidates should prepare well as the toughest questions are expected from this chapter. The distribution between botany and zoology is expected to be around 70 to 40%.
