Men demolish house, attack pregnant woman in Rajsamand village

Udaipur : Two men who were heavily drunk, demolished a house and assaulted a pregnant woman in Sohangarh village under Devgarh police station of Rajsamand district on Friday. The dispute began when the men who were brothers parked their JCB outside the victim’s house.

Krishna Devi (23) wife of Richhpal Singh asked the accused Kalu Singh and Jaswant Singh to take away the heavy vehicle from outside their house and park elsewhere as it blocked their entrance. The men who  were reportedly drunk and habitual of taking up  petty quarrels got inside the vehicle and demolished the gate. They even pulled down a newly constructed room inside the house and damaged the kitchen walls.

On being stopped, they pushed the woman and even thrashed her.  Seeing the commotion neighbours rushed to the house and tried to stop the men. The accused instead of heeding to the warnings tried to run the JCB over the people and fled away on it. Some of the villagers chased the men  and pelted stones on them. The men later left the JCB and escaped.

” We have registered a case of physical assault and destruction against both the men. They are from the same village and often indulged in petty fights. The woman who was attacked is pregnant. Her sonography test would be conducted on saturday, accused  are absconding” Rajendra Godara, SHO Devgarh police station informed.
