Securing full score in JEE Main 2017 was not a cakewalk for Udaipur based KalpitVeerwal. The boy from Rajasthan did it with a lot of confidence and dedication. In his own words, Kalpit says, “I did regular studies, never missed any class, kept my confidence high and cleared doubts from teachers to achieve success in JEE Mains 2017.”
JEE Main results were announced on Thursday by CBSE on its official website. Veerwal, in an interview stated that the chairperson of Central Board of Secondary Education himself called and cracked the news to him. He further congratulated him for the success and told him that he emerged to be topper among General as well as Scheduled Caste category.
Currently, Kalpit has his focus set on championing JEE Advanced, which is scheduled for next month itself. In his words, “It is a happy moment for me to be the topper in JEE Mains but I am taking it normally and focusing on JEE Advanced, which would be held next month.”
The 17-year-old boy does not stop here, he appreciates the efforts put in by his parents too. His father works as a compounder at Udaipur’s Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital and his mother Pushpa Veerwal is a government school teacher. His elder brother is a medical student in AIIMS. He mentioned that his parents were a great support and looked after him so that he did not get ill and continued with his studies unperturbed.
Spilling the secret of his success, he says, “I used to study for around 5-6 hours daily apart from coaching classes and classes in school.” Although he is not yet sure of his future plans, but he aims to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Mumbai.
It was a matter of pride for his family as well as teachers at Kota-based Resonance Eduventure Private Limited’s Udaipur branch, where he has been a student since he was in Class 8.
