Udaipur : Patidar quota stir leader Hardik Patel on Sunday met Colonel Kirorilal Bainsla at his residence in Hindaun in Karauli district. The PAAS convener who was on his way to Haridwar, reportedly spent an hour in discussion with the Gurjar stir leader. The meeting began at 9 am and culminated in an hour.
“Hardik tried to learn from the veteran the strategies adapted during the Gujjar movement in Rajasthan and tips to keep the community united” said Gehrilal Dangi, district president of the Patel Nav Nirman Sena, Udaipur. Both the leaders also discussed on the setback to the community after the recent High Court decision to scrap the 5% quota allowed by the state government to the special backward classes (SBC). The PAAS leader extended support to Bainsla in his movement on reservation demand. A police team had been present there while the two leaders met, sources said. Later Hardik also addressed a farmers’ meeting after reaching Delhi later afternoon. Hardik will spend a fortnight at an ashram in Haridwar and also meet leaders of the Kurmi community there.
