SHOULD YOU USE TWO CONDOMS FOR EXTRA PROTECTION? By now we all know how important it is to use a condom during sexual intercourse. Using condoms is the best way to protect you and your partner against STDs and unwanted pregnancy. Cheap, easy and effective, condoms are considered as the simplest method of contraception until now. As condoms are famous and are commonly used what goes without saying are the myths and facts surrounding it. One of the biggest questions being, should you use two condoms for extra protection? Yes or no? Read on to know the answer.
ARE TWO CONDOMS BETTER THAN ONE? Well, we have always been hearing, ‘the more the better’ and ‘two heads are better than one’ which means the solution for a problem is easy to find when two people work together on it. The same logic is being applied by people when it comes to the use of condoms. People think the more latex between you and your partner means more protection. But again, is it true?
HOW MALE CONDOMS WORK? It’s as simple as the condom itself, condoms work by stopping the semen from entering the vagina. A condom is worn by the male partner once the penis is erect. There is a little space on the tip of it which is left for the semen. This space makes it less likely that the condom will break.
USING TWO CONDOMS: Placing the second condom over the first one will only cause more friction and more tension. This friction will not save but actually, cause additional leakage and tearing of the condom. Using two condoms will cause the condoms not to fit correctly on the penis, leading to the chances of leakage. Fit is what matters the most and two condoms definitely lead to a misfit. Using two condoms can slip them off entirely.
