MUMBAI/BENGALURU: Arunabh Kumar, the founder of video content company The Viral Fever (TVF) who is facing sexual harassment cases, has stepped down as CEO. Kumar, in a tweet on Friday, said he would be available as a ‘mentor’ for the company.
In an open letter on Friday, Kumar stated, “In the wake of recent personal attacks, what really breaks me is the blemish on the brand’s true promise. I have therefore taken the decision to step down as the CEO of TVF.”
He added that he had faith and confidence that eventually truth would prevail.
The company, which is funded by leading global private equity firm Tiger Global, has elevated COO Dhawal Gusain as CEO. Gusain, an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B-Tech from IIT Kharagpur, has been with TVF since 2015.
