‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ box-office collection Day 19: Film crosses 900-crore mark in all languages

Another day calls for another record to be broken by ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ as it continues its triumphant run at the box-office. The film has now zoomed past 900-crore mark across India by collecting an estimated Rs 901.75 crore nett (cumulative figure of all languages), according to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com.

Apart from being the first Indian film to cross Rs 1000 crore at the box office, it is now marching towards the 1500-crore mark at the worldwide market and its Hindi dubbed version is inching towards the 500-crore mark at the domestic box-office.

The second instalment of ‘Baahubali’ sees Prabhas reprising his role as Amrendra Baahubali and his son Mahendra Baahubali. Rana Daggubati continued to win over the ladies as the menacing Bhallala Deva, Ramya Krishna picked up her role as Sivagami while Anushka played the role of Devasena.
Produced by ARKA entertainment, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion,’ also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Satyaraj in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, according to reports, six people have been arrested in Hyderabad for trying to leak an HD print of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’. Apparently, the gang, which also includes a theatre owner even tried to blackmail distributor Karan Johar and demanded Rs 15 lakhs in return for not leaking the pirated copy online. Finally, Prasad Devineni, a representative of the film’s production company Arka Media Works, filed a complaint to the Cyber Crime cell and the culprits were subsequently arrested. It turned out that the six-member gang was a part of an interstate movie piracy organisation.
