5 including 2 CRPF jawans killed in road accident on Udaipur-Pindwara national highway

Udaipur : Five men including two soldiers of the central reserve police force (CRPF) were killed in a collision between a trailer-truck and car that happened near Malwa ka Choura PHC, under Bekariya police station on the Udaipur-Pindwara National Highway-76 on monday morning. Rescue sources said that the accident took place around 11am, when a trailer hit the CRPF truck from behind perhaps due to a brake fail, when the two vehicles were  pacing towards Pindwara.

The collision was so hard that the truck driver lost control over the vehicle which crashed on to the divider  and fell down in a dried river some 25 feet below the bridge. Meanwhile, the trailer too lost control and got into the other side of the road. A car coming from the opposite direction crashed into the trailer,killing two people inside it. The trailer didnt stop even after the back tyres came off, the body dragged on the road to some several meters and caught fire due to the friction caused.

The trailer  driver  Narendra Singh resident of Mandalgarh, too died  on the spot while his assistant has been admitted in the MB hospital at Udaipur in a serious condition. Rescue team and the villagers struggled for hours to pull out bodies from the car and the CRPF truck. The car body was completely crushed while the roof of the CRPF truck had blown away after the crash. The jawan driving the truck was identified as JaiSingh Beharwal while the remaining three  bodies are yet to be identified, police said. DySP Sunit Sharma, SDO  Mahipal Singh were at the spot till late supervising the rescue operation and clearing the mess on the road.
